What it costs and how quoting works
The money side is deliberately boring. There's no fee to get us to your door, a written quote before anything starts, and your approval before a tool comes out.
Here's what that means in practice:
- The call out costs you nothing, whether the job goes ahead or not
- One price for the whole job, agreed up front
- You approve the figure or we shake hands and leave
- No surprises get added once the work is underway
If something isn't up to standard afterwards, we come back and make it right, no questions asked. That's the whole arrangement, and it applies to every job the same way.
Getting someone out to you
Ring early where you can. The schedule fills in order, and same-day work happens where the day allows it.
At the last census the locality counted 816 dwellings across 7.66 square kilometres, so once we're in the village streets the run between jobs is short.
Some jobs can't wait for a booking:
- A burst water service flooding a subfloor
- A toilet backing up with nowhere else for it to go
- No hot water on a frosty morning, and this ground sits higher and colder than Cessnock, copping around eight frosts a year

A note on the water supply
From the main through to your meter, the water and wastewater network here belongs to Hunter Water. Everything on your side of the meter is yours to look after, and that's the work we do.
If the trouble sits beyond the meter, we'll tell you straight rather than quote a job that isn't ours.

What does it cost to have a plumber come out?
Nothing to walk through the door. Every job starts with a $0 call out, and you get the price in writing before any work begins. Approve it or we leave at no charge.
Do you quote before starting work?
The quote covers the whole job, not an hourly meter. You see the figure in writing first, approve it, and that number is what you pay when the work is done.
Can you come the same day?
Where the schedule allows, yes. Ring early and we'll do our best to fit the job in that day. Genuine emergencies like burst pipes jump the queue whenever we can manage it.
What services do you cover?
Everything a licensed plumber handles: general repairs and renovations, drain clearing with high-pressure jetting, hot water work, gas fitting, and emergencies like burst pipes and overflowing toilets.
Are the plumbers licensed?
Yes. Water, waste and gas work has to meet NSW rules, and ours does. If something isn't up to standard afterwards, we come back and make it right, no questions asked.
Which areas do you service?
The village itself plus the neighbours: Cessnock, Bellbird Heights, Pelton and Mount View. If you're on Wollombi Road or one of the streets off it, ring and ask.
